Teaming Up In Texas

Yesterday we attended a wedding in Kilgore, Texas. My brother Bill and his wife Julie's oldest son Matt attended college there for law enforcement and that's how Matt met Megan. Since Jan and I were driving down we invited Jan's sister Donna and her husband Arlin to ride along. This is Jan and Donna figuring out a photo. Since neither one of them enjoy being photographed I had to take it on the sneak. Although I didn't admit it to them I enjoyed watching sisters team up to check out quilt stores between here and Texas.

While we were in Texas we visited an army buddy of Arlin's. They were stationed together overseas many years ago. It was fun to listen to them tell stories and get reaquainted.

This is outside the First Baptist Church of Kilgore. The boys were waiting for things to happen. It was around 70 degrees out.

This is Bill and Julie's daughter Hanna and her friend Tony. Hanna sang at the wedding of her brother and new sister-in-law. Tony grew up on the island of (Papa-new-guinie) where his parents are missionaries. He is now attending Kuyper College in Michigan where he and Hanna met. It was fun to get aquainted while we all stayed in the same motel.

This is Matt and Megan. They will be living in Longview, Texas where they both have jobs. By the time I got this picture they were both about pictured out. We met Megan's family at rehersal supper.

I was reminded of Ruth 1:16. "Where you go, I will go. and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." It was fun to celebrate with Bill and Julie's family. It was also enjoyable to experiance being part of God's family and His promises.
