"Make it your goal to lead a quiet life, to work with your hands, and to mind your own business. So that your daily life will win the respect of outsiders and you will not be dependant on anyone." 1Thes. 4:11-12
God wants us to have goals in life. The Bible verse also talks about hands on when accomplishing those goals. During grading and excavating of the PC football field we moved dirt from the playing area up to the spectator sidelines so everyone would have a good view and folks wouldn't have to climb up into their seating. In this picture son Mike is leveling off the visitor sidelines while grandson Cody is packing the playing field area.
This is Mike and Cody two and a half years later using the finished field. Mike is a volunteer coach when he's not dozing or farming and Cody has a goal to play someday on the field he helped build.
Other goals include winning the respect of outsiders the Bible verse is talking about. As folks watch hopefully they don't just see Christian Education as a curious custom carried on from previous generations.
