What Are You Good At

Do you enjoy what you do? Are you good at it? What are your strengths and talents? Are strengths and talents the same thing? I think talent is God given and strength is something you build on and try and improve at.
When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see someone that is adventurous, energetic, driven, and outgoing? Or do you see yourself as more levelheaded, focused, loyal, and responsible?
When others observe you what do they see? Do they see you as kind, caring, and giving? Do they see you as using your strengths and talents just for yourself or for others as well? How does God see you? He sees you in a positive light, with a purpose, and lots of potential, because He made you what you are and He doesn't make junk.
There are days when our work looks like a mountain and the jobs we thought we were good at feels like we're pulling a load of corn uphill.
Then there are days when it feels like we just got on a new set of tracks and we get a weeks worth of accomplishments finished and are looking for more.
Many of the jobs we do and become good at are under the radar and aren't always seen or recognized by others. That's ok. We shouldn't do things just so others notice.
We are not good at everything. Sometimes we need to ask for help. Eric and his team are good helpers.
Some folks are good at being creative, sharing a vision, and helping people with ideas.
Many folks are just really good at making people feel better. They are generally good listeners and are usually wearing a smile. They are also optimistic and encouraging.
Others are good at helping people look better, or at least try, right Megan.
At the end of the day it's not just how much we've accomplished. It's how well we accomplished it. I also feel it helps to enjoy what we do in order to be good at it.
"Then I realized that it is good for a man to eat, and to find satisfaction in his work here on earth during the few days God has given him, for this is his destiny. Moreover, when God gives a man possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his destiny, and be happy in his work, this is a gift from God. He seldom looks back on the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with the gladness of his heart." Ecclesiastes 5:18-20
