Working With Plan B

There are times in life when unexpected circumstances come. Sometimes they slowly transpire and sometimes they suddenly pop up. Hang in there Amelia.
Farmers are some of the most optimistic bunches in the business when it comes to unexpected circumstances. Below the custom combining crew is taking a break. Thanks for the buffalo burgers Mark.
Farmers are generally ahead of the curve when it comes to adjusting to circumstances beyond their control and making Plan B.
Our children watch us. They notice how we handle situations both good and bad and our attitudes when things don't go as planned.
Sometimes our unexpected experiences are a test. Will our attitudes make the grade? Below we are packaging our insurance test strip corn samples in nylon hose so it can breath and sending it to the lab for aflitoxin testing.
Occasionally when unexpected changes start piling up it's tempting to get overwhelmed. Our normally confident attitudes start to wonder. Below we are working with the insurance adjuster on corn yields.
Quite often changes bring blessings we never expect. While helping me unplug the chiesel John found an old axe head. He told me it was probably a hatchet from the pioneer days.
We got together as a family last night after a busy week and made pizza pockets over a fire for supper.
Once in a while when all the guys are busy the gals fill in. Cassia and Natalie in the car seat did a great job helping out as the B Team.
This past week we as a country remembered 9/11/2001 and how those unexpected attacks changed life. As Americans we pulled together on a united front. I dare to bet you still remember as I do what you were doing when you heard the news that we were being attacked.
Also this past week some of our embassys were attacked. Instead of pulling together our countries leaders apologized for who we are as Americans and were worried about hurting our enemies feelings for what we believe. Incredible and scary.
Thankfully God is in charge. He came up with a plan when we as a human race disobeyed him. He sent His son to pay for our misdeeds. He also gives  His Holy Spirit to help guide us when life sends us a curve and we sometimes wonder what Plan B should look like.
Often God's greatest gifts come unexpectedly or differently than we had planned as a result of tough times. Have a good week. Don't forget to thank God when things are going well. Remember to lean on Him and ask Him for help if you need to come up with Plan B.
