Have you ever had too many projects started and in progress but not finished. Sometimes it's because of lack of time. Sometimes it's waiting till the last minute because of being unsure on how to proceed. Sometimes it's just a lack of enthusiam or self confidence. In most cases you just have to be brave enough to try something.
Mike and I helped on the same project this past week fixing a hole in a dike and clearing 3 acres of sand off of a bottom. Mike is just finishing for the day here and is heading for his pickup and fuel tank. You can see how dusty it is after two months of dry weather.
This is BJ and Craig, both in the tiling business, talking shop and trading stories one evening while they wait for the trackhoe and scraper to call it a day.
Saturday morning I saw these young men standing along the street being brave enough to wave their signs at traffic asking for work. Since I was just two blocks from my destination and since I admired their enthusiasm I stopped, gave them a donation, told them I'd be back in 30 minutes, and walked the 2 blocks to the cell phone store.

Usually at the start of a school year the board at PCHS holds a board/staff social. The evening included appitizers, supper, a game, and 4-wheeler riding. The folks on the board that were in charge did an excellent job.
At the wedding last weekend in Colorado here are three brothers(my sister Donna and Roger's sons) watching their other brother cut cake at the reception as Carl and Nicole start married life together.
After the wedding last weekend Jan and I spent a couple of days around Walden, Colorado enjoying the scenery and remembering the good times we have had there in the past as family. One of my favorite memories is this meadow. We were vacationing during the haying season and helping harvest the grass hay. I was mowing here and my now son-in-law rode with me the whole afternoon in a small cab getting up the nerve to ask me if he could marry Becky. I'm so glad he did. From the top of Owl Mountain it's kind of hard to tell where the road starts and where it finishes. It's like that in life. We don't know the future and if we are really honest with ourselves God and others had a lot to do with getting our start. However while we are in the part of life we can see now, if we are brave and have faith, we can get things done.
